Weekend Layouts...

Here are the two layouts I did over the weekend.

The first one is of Zoie's 3rd Birthday when we took her to Chuck E. Cheese. I really like how this LO turned out. It is somewhat simple, but I like the little detail that I used, like scrunching the ribbon and stapling it together, the small square gems and the little dots I added around the Z and the 3. You can't really tell, but the purple background paper is slick and shiny, so I had a hard time getting a photo without a huge glare across it. {Notice my bright, lime green walls and black and white checkered floor in the bathroom?} I also added a few 3-D words on some of the photos to give it a little extra something.

My 2nd LO is called Bath Time. I was getting Zoie's bath water ready, and ran down the hall to get a towel. When I came back, she was already in the tub... but she hadn't taken her clothes off! I LOVE the papers and embellishments that I used on this LO {thanks, Nancy!} I also punched out some butterflies, colored the outside with marker, put a gem in the middle and put them on with 3-D pop dots. The flowers and heart embellishments are Miss Elizabeth's, and I added the orange button, the orange rub-on {Fancy Pants} behind the 'Bath Time' title {Doodlebug Designs Alpha Stickers}, date stickers are Alphabitties and the brown paper with the damask border is actually part of an Office Max paper shopping bag. I cut the border off and used it!

Oh scrapbooking, how I love thee.

Thanks for looking,

Lindsay

Hi Lindsay,
Have you ever considered writing childrens books? I have a knack for writing too. I thoroughly enjoyed the stories about the capture of the cricket. You might try to get some info on publishing these stories for childrens books. The field is wide open for all ages. Also, there is a demand for christian real life stories. I think you would be a great success after reading these stories. And as well as you do the scrapbooking projects, you could also draw your own illustrations for books. Just something to think about and there is money to be made in this career as well as inspiration to others, especially children. Wishing you the best. Love you, Grandma A. Also, I called Kevin but have had no response. Have you heard any more from him as to Jennifer's condition? Grandma A.
