4th of July

We went to the lake over the fourth. It was nice to get away and relax. We rode the seadoos, went fishing, layed out, went for boat rides and just had a great time.

My sister's boyfriend, Josh, got Zoie a fishing pole, so she had fun fishing (we didn't put the hook on there, but don't tell her that...) We caught quite a few fish, but Zoie got bored pretty quickly.

Friday night, we all went and ate at Pete's, a famous restaurant in Krebs. It was pretty good, but everyone HAD to order a entree and they were huge. We were so stuffed when we left we could barely walk. It was a good experience.

I went and bought some fireworks at the 2-for-1 stand, and of course when we were paying it started to rain. It slacked off a bit, so we lit some of them before the downpour came. We were supposed to ride in the boat over to the town of Eufaula's firework show, but it was raining too hard. It eased up enough that we thought we would try and catch the tail-end of the show, so we all jumped in the boat and headed around the cove. Dad said, "Do you hear that?" And not even a minute later, a downpour came and we were all soaked. We hurried back to the dock, but there wasn't an inch on us that was dry. We were supposed to have a bonfire afterwards and make s'mores, but we were rained out. I made them in the microwave instead. It was fun though.

When we got back, I took a couple of pics of Zoie on her swingset in her patriotic outfit. I liked how they turned out.

We are going back to the lake this weekend for the Whole Hawg Festival. I'm excited. It is a lot of fun.

Have a good week,
Lindsay

Oh my goodness. She's getting so big. She looks like an angel with her fishing pole. So glad to see her smile.
