Yah for Weekends!

I'm soooo glad it is Friday. These past two weeks have seemed like they have inched along like a snail!
It's a holiday weekend, so I am off of work on Monday too. Yah. :) I am going to spend the weekend cleaning out the garage and getting ready for a garage sale, playing in the backyard with Z, and who knows what other trouble we can cook up.

Yah for summer. I'm so glad you are here.

National Scrapbooking Day Crop

I had a great weekend! I went to a local church for a National Scrapbooking Day crop. I know it was a couple weeks late, but we had so much fun! It was from 6:30 pm until midnight on Friday and 9 am to 5 pm on Saturday. We had games and door prizes, snacks and they even gave us 10 minute massages on Saturday and they catered Johnny Carino's for lunch!

I was so excited to be able to get some time to scrapbook. It is hard when you have a 2 1/2 year old to get ANYTHING done, better yet some "play time" for yourself.

Below are the layouts I completed. I still have to journal on them, but I was pretty stoked at how they turned out. I can't wait to go to the next crop on June 12th!

Goggle Girl - This is Zoie when we went to go babysit for some friends. She found these goggles and insisted on wearing them most of the night!

Easter 2009 - This was the first of FOUR Easter Egg Hunts that I took Zoie to. This one was at the Mustang Community Center.

Egg Hunt #2 - At a local church.

Egg Hunt #3 - This was at the Yukon Park.

Egg Hunt #4 - This was at another local church. I will be doing another page layout for this, since they had a moon bounce, hotdogs and other neat things for the kiddos to do. This was using the May kit from Scarlet Lime too... isn't it fab?!

27 - This was my 27th birthday. My family and I went out to eat at Joe's Crabshack.

I guess that is about it. Thanks for looking!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Mother's Day! My boyfriend was sweet enough to get a cute little card for me from Zoie (and Skylar, his 3 year old son). They both signed it with their scribbles and handprints, making it truly special. He also got me a great card too.

It was raining here in Oklahoma, so Josh got Zoie and I donuts and we watched some movies. He went to visit his mom, so Zoie and I spent most of the afternoon together just the two of us. I was able to scrapbook some while we watched Disney movies (Madagascar and Cars over and over again). My parents and Josh came over around 3:30 pm and dad and Josh finished putting up Zoie's new swingset/fort/playhouse. I bought it from my cousin who couldn't take it to their new house where they were moving. So we finished putting it up in the rain and afterwards mom and dad left. The rest of the evening was ok, with the typical tantrums and me sending her to her room for being naughty to mommy. :) She didn't get a nap, so she wasn't very cooperative. Luckily she was in bed around 7-7:30 pm, so Josh brought me dinner and we watched Adam Sandler's Bedtime Stories. It was a pretty cute, but cheesy, movie.

Overall, it was a good Mother's Day. I am blessed with a wonderful mother (and grandmothers) and a beautiful, spoiled two-year-old little girl that I wouldn't trade for the world. I can't complain.

I hope everyone else had a great Mother's Day as well, and were able to spend it with the ones you love.

Hugs,
Lindsay

Eischen's

My grandparents and aunt invited Zoie and I to go and eat at Eischen's on Saturday (April 25th). This place was known across the state for their chicken. So we loaded up the car and took a roadtrip.

We arrived at the restaurant, which was also a famous bar as it was the oldest bar in the state. A lot of motorcycle riders come to the infamous place to sit down and have a beer at the wooden bartop. There were quite a few bikers there when we showed up.

We sat down at the booth and they took our drink order. They didn't use silverware, but instead we had what looked like tissue paper strung out across the table and drank out of styrofoam cups. The menu, which was posted on the table, consisted of only 8 items. We decided to try the cheese nachos, chicken and okra.

The portions were pretty good, as all 3 items were enough for the 5 of us. It was a really neat place, and I would love to go back.
Love,
Lindsay
